Good performance for dates and citrus fruits

In Tunisia exports of food products have increased, with notably good performances for dates and citrus fruits.

 

 

According to data published by the Ministry of Agriculture, date exports since the beginning of the season have increased in value by 23.5% and 6% in volume.

 

 

 

The country has exported more than 70,000 tonnes of dates. Among the main destinations: the Maghreb countries 18,566 tons, Spain 5,455 tons, Italy 5,452 tons, the United States 4,570 tons.

 

 

 

In January citrus exports had increased by 17% compared to the same period last year. In total, food exports in January 2019 increased by 7%.
