Scientists from Quilamapu Regional Research Center of the INIA Agricultural Research Institute (INIA Quilamapu, Chile), Paula Varga and Stanley Best, with the help of FIA, developed a monitoring system that allows obtaining data on the level of anthocyanins, polyphenols, titratable acidity, maturity index, firmness and Brix of the fruits, without having to manipulate the fruits and take samples, since it is done through a mobile application.
The monitoring system consists of a low-cost portable spectrophotometry sensor, says Paula Vargas. It is designed to measure organoleptic and quality parameters, it can be modeled analytically with chemometric techniques and georeferenced with connection.
