Impact of the global crisis? Argentina saw its exports to China decrease by 23% and Europe by 22%.
Foreign trade has recorded a sharp decline with the National Statistics Institute (INDEC) reporting a 10% fall in exports and a 12% drop in imports in June from compared to the same month in 2011. It is the largest drop since the 2008 crisis.
Exports to China fell 23% and those to Europe
by 22%. In June, exports of industrial products decreased 12% and agricultural products by 7%. Imports of capital goods fell by 38%. The INDEC said that trade with the Mercosur countries represented 21% of exports and 25% of purchases for the country.
