Food safety guaranteed with Italian fruit and vegetables which are controlled at 99 %.

Coldiretti, main organization of Italian farmers, indicated a record for quality and food safety of Italian fruit and vegetables which are controlled at 99 %.

 
Controls concerned 98,85 % of fruits, 98,76 % of vegetables and 99,4 % of cereal; for all, the residues of chemicals are lower than the legal limits.
 
 
 For Coldiretti, these good results ensue from the commitment of farmers for a responsible use of pesticides and for intensification of controls.
 
 
Italy is the leadership in Europe with 202 products benefiting from a protected label of origin
(AOP) or Geographical Protected Indication (IGP).
