Stimulated by strong demand, raspberries cultivation area grew 25% in the region of Huelva.
The region of Huelva increased its raspberry growing area by 25%, as increasing supply responds to sustained market demand.
According to data provided by Freshuelva, raspberry growing area rose 25% in the province, reaching 1,200 hectares. Last season's production was 11,350 tons.
This increase shows the consolidation of this culture in the province of Huelva. Supported by steady demand, the cultivation of berries is growing. The area dedicated to blackberries now accounts for 50 hectares, with 777 hectares for blueberries.
