The approval aligns with Brazil’s strategy to broaden its agricultural export base and strengthen its footprint in Middle Eastern markets.
Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture confirmed that Iran has authorised imports of Brazilian zucchini and watermelon seeds, following the completion of sanitary and technical negotiations between the two countries. The approval marks an important step for Brazil’s horticultural export sector, particularly in the seed segment, which has seen consistent international growth in recent years.
According to the ministry, this new access strengthens trade relations between Brazil and Iran while expanding export opportunities for Brazilian seed producers. The agreement is part of the government’s broader effort to diversify agricultural markets and increase the presence of Brazilian products in the Middle East.
