Saturday will take place the coronation ceremony of Charles III. The new sovereign chose as the official coronation dish a spinach, broad bean and tarragon quiche.
This choice stems, according to the BBC, from the king's taste for eggs and cheese but also depicts his commitment to more responsible food consumption, with less meat.
The official recipe has been published on the site of the royal family, which encourages the British to also make this quiche with spinach, beans and tarragon which will be served to the king and his relatives.

The previous sovereign, Elizabeth II had chosen chicken with a creamy curry sauce as her official coronation dish. This dish, served at Buckingham Palace during a Queen's coronation banquet in 1953, has become a classic of British gastronomy.
