Russia is struck by droughts the most important of its history, which damaged 10 million hectares of cultures.
Anormal heat, with temperatures rising as high as 36 degrees Celsius prevail in most parts of central Russia, said the forecasters. Temperatures in Saratov region along the Volga will rise as high as 37 degrees through July 21.
Drought damaged about 10 million hectares of harvests. Fires destroyed more than 26.000 hectares of forests. State of emergency was declared in 18 Russian provinces.
