Vegetarians aim to restore confidence in German vegetables

German vegetarians have an original initiative to restore confidence in the consumption of vegetables.

Installed at the foot of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, members of the Association have played a contest. How many cucumbers can you eat in 5 minutes? The idea is to prove to the public that eating vegetables is safe and poses no danger.

"With this contest we want to show that we can once again eat tomatoes and cucumbers," said Sebastian Zosch, spokesman for the Association of Vegetarians.
