The avocado market is estimated at $9.29 billion and will continue to progress

A recent report estimated that global avocado consumption in 2018 was $9.29 billion with an annual growth rate of 5.03%.

 

 

 

According to this ResearchAndMarkets report, the avocado market will further progress. Especially because of the growth of demand in China. In recent years China has increased its demand for avocados which has led to an increase in its imports.

 

 

 

In 2017, China imported a volume 22% higher than the previous year. This trend is expected to continue in the coming years.

 

 

 

The main avocado imports into China come from Chile, Mexico and Peru.
