Asociafruit expects a decline in the production of stone fruit in Andalusia.

The harvest will begin in Andalusia. Production will be significantly lower than originally expected. Asociafruit, the producers' association, said it will miss the expected fruits during the last half of April and the first half of May.
The frosts of winter have affected the regions of Cordoba and Seville.
Asociafruit says this decline in production will maintain prices at the beginning of the campaign, although future developments will depend on weather.
Asociafruit, the association of producers and exporters of Andalusia and Extremadura, gathers 80% of the production of stone fruit from Andalusia. 2012 production of stone fruits is estimated at 52,000 tons.
