Iran will continue to increase its agricultural exports

Excellent year for agricultural and food Iranian exports.

The TPOI (Trade Promotion Organization of Iran) announced, for the calendar year just ended on March 20, a value of 5.8 billion $ for exports of agricultural and food products.

Agricultural exports have increased significantly, especially pistachio and saffron. Pistachio exports have doubled to 587 million $ and those of saffron rose 87% to 213 million $.

The Ministry of Agriculture forecasts that the country will continue to increase its exports of agricultural products. The volume of export  amounted last year to 107 million tonnes, the target for the current year will be reaching 118 million tons.
