The tomato committee is going to analyze situation of the Spanish sector, and to study process of ratification which will not intervene before the middle 2011.
A meeting of FEPEX is planned, after the "tomato war " between Spain and Morocco and before the ratification of the EU-MOROCCO agreement.
FEPEX tomato committee is composed of producers coming from the main producing regions of Spain: Andalusia, Murcia, Canary Islands and Valencia, and meets in the office of Proexport (Murcia) to study the situation and the agreement between the EU and Morocco.
The Committee will analyze the 2009/2010 season; will examine perspectives of the current campaign and measures to improve competitiveness and profitability of the sector.
They will also analyse the ratification calendar which should not be able to come into effect before the middle 2011.
The Committee includes associations as: PROEXPORT ( MURCIA), COEXPHAL (Andalusia), FEDEX ACETO (Canary Islands) and FEXPHAL ( Comunidad Valenciana).
