Demand for Gloster apples goes down in Poland

According to the latest data, demand for Gloster apples has recently started to go down both in wholesale and retail markets of Poland. Due to local specialists apples low quality is considered to be the main reason of demand decrease. Meanwhile amount of high quality Gloster apples for export is very limited. This factor urges exporters to shift to other apples varieties available on local fruit market. At this moment, due to long-termed storage ability, Mutsu apples are the most popular ones on the fruit market of Poland. Low demand for Gloster apples hasn’t affected price level for this kind of fruits. Currently Gloster apples costs verify from 0,3 EUROkg to 0,32 EUROkg.
