Wal-Mart wants to offer healthier foods

Since Mrs. Obama launched a major campaign against childhood obesity, scientists have estimated that 10% of the increase of obesity in the United States is directly related to Wal-Mart.
Wal-Mart has responded. Wal-Mart offers a 5-year charter, pledging to sell healthier products and to put pressure on its food suppliers.
Wal-Mart promises to review the revenue of its products to make them healthier by: eliminate fats and hydrogenated oils, reduce sodium by 25% and sugar 10%, and will also offer fruits and vegetables at a better price.
Because of its importance, the first retailer in the United States can have a decisive influence of food consumption of the Americans.
