Chile's San Antonio terminal sees 30% throughput increase in cherry season

San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI) recorded a 30% rise in cherry export volumes during the 2024–2025 season.
San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI), located in Chile’s Valparaíso Region, expects a strong cherry season to close 2025, driven by rising cargo volumes and new export routes. General Manager Andrés Albertini stated that 2025 has been a solid year, marked by two new services, including an express route to Asia aimed at improving export efficiency.
During the 2024–2025 campaign, the Port of San Antonio handled 17,000 cherry containers bound for China, of which 12,200 were managed by STI, representing a 30% increase over the previous season. The terminal received 15 Cherry Express vessels, confirming its key role in Chile’s fruit export logistics.
