The Spanish city of Malaga is known for its exquisite tomatoes such as Huevo de Torro, grown in the Guadalhorce Valley. It is the most expensive variety in the entire market.
Huevo de Torro is characterized by its rich flavor, large size and intense color. Although it normally weighs between 300 and 600 grams, some fruits can be over a kilo.
This variety has very few seeds, has fleshy hearts and a very thin skin, so its treatment during harvesting, packaging and sale is very delicate, and because of this, it is not suitable for long transport.
Its price in Spain is around 3 euros per kilo.
