Carrefour and Wal-Mart fined for cheating on prices

The government agency calls for sanctions against Carrefour and Wal-Mart for cheating on prices.
The National Commission for Development and Reform Commission has established that a dozen stores "are misleading their customers with false discounts, advertise low prices that become more elevated, do not keep their promises of labeling which are misleading.»
Items sold at 50.70 yuan (5.63 euros) were proposed before at 119 Yuan, and not at 169 yuan as indicated in labeling. The cost of rice bag is 5 Yuan more, said the powerful government agency.
The Commission for Development and Reform Commission calls to punish severely those practices by requiring a fine equal to 5 times the amount of money collected or up to 500,000 Yuan (55,500 Euros).
The survey, widely reported by Chinese media, shows the government's determination to avoid further price increases during the Chinese New Year, conducive to the frenzy of buying.
