Decrease in watermelon exports

Watermelon exports by Peru, in the period between January and December 2021, totaled 18,339,519 kilos for a value of $ 3,173,626, according to the Agrodata portal. It is a significant decrease from the 24,367,515 kilos exported in 2020 for $ 4,779,473.

 

The main destinations for this fruit in 2021 were Ecuador, with placements for $1,852,000 ($3,665,000 in 2020), and Chile, with placements for $1,316,000 in 2021 ($1,115,000 in 2020).
