Collaboration agreement between UGPBAN and REO Veiling

The 2 cooperatives have signed an agreement for mutual cooperation.
The UGPBAN (Union of Producer Group of bananas from Guadeloupe and Martinique) and the Belgian organization REO Veiling (Coöperatieve Veiling Roeselare) signed a "letter of intent for a mutulle cooperation."
The 2 cooperatives have much in common: they sell the products of their adherents, they are concerned with sustainable production, they are engaged in quality initiatives for enhancing the value of products, they have a brand policy.
The UGPBAN markets annually 100,000 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables through its subsidiary Fruidor. With this collaboration, the French producers Fruidor could be met by REO and REO adherents could increase their opportunities in the French market. In the project, the creation of a new marketing structure of fruit and vegetables products in France by members of REO. This new structure could be created by this summer.
