Israeli exports to the EU fell by 16%.
Israeli exports saw a marked reduction since the beginning of the year.
The Israel Export Institute says the emerging trend is worrying and in the first quarter of 2012, exports were down 6.5% compared to fourth quarter 2011 and down 5% from the first quarter of last year.
More alarming for the institute,
Israeli exports to the EU fell by 16%. Exports to Europe accounted for 33% of all exports. Exports to Asia fell by 6, representing 20% of the total. Only exports to the U.S. grew by 3%, which represented 21% of the total.
