Banana production has fallen

The consequences of Pablo typhoon have dropped banana production of Philippines.
BAS (Bureau of Agricultural Statistics) announced a production of bananas of 14,518 metric tons for the first half of 2013. A decrease of -8.1% compared to 15,799 metric tons produced last year.
In December 2012, the typhoon Pablo several regions of the Philippines. The major banana producing regions like Mindanao and Davao are not quite recovered from the consequences of the typhoon. Other regions (Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) also recorded a decline in their production.
