Spain-France agreement on a joint work program

Strawberry producers in Spain and France will implement a joint work program.

Strawberry producers in Spain and France met in Agen (France), under the contact group Spain-France-Italy. For the prospects of the campaign, they expect an increase of +2% of production in Spain and +8% in France.

They have agreed on a joint work program in the phytosanitary field. Analyze the availability of products and improve the mutual recognition procedure under the European Regulation (1107/2009).

Mutual recognition is a way to authorize phytopharmaceutical products, if they are authorized in a Member State for the same purpose and in similar agricultural practices can be automatically allowed in another Member State if the agricultural, vegetable, health and environmental conditions are comparable.
