Opening of the Chinese market for Argentina's apples
FJ
China and Argentina have signed a trade agreement that will allow the entry of apples from Argentina in the Chinese market.
The agreement was signed during a visit of the Minister of Agriculture of Argentina, Julián Domínguez in Beijing, where he met the head of the health certification.
This agreement is considered as an "historic moment" by the Argentine authorities. The treaty includes other products such as meat, corn, barley, milk and bamboo.
China is the second largest trading partner of Argentina, after Brazil and to the European Union. Trade between the two countries increased from U.S. $ 4 billion in 2004 to 14 billion U.S. dollars in 2008.
