In Japan, the Ministry of Agriculture has just announced that the damages caused by the typhoons Faxai and Hagibis reached 253.37 billion yen.
The destruction is significant, many crops have been flooded and irrigation canals have been damaged. According to the announcement by the Ministry of Agriculture, the damage caused by the typhoons Faxai and Hagibis to the industries of agriculture, forestry and fishing reached 253.37 billion yen.
It is likely that this amount will increase further, with more damage being reported, particularly in severely affected areas. As in the Faxai area, the Kanto area, the Nagano area where apple orchards were damaged, the Sano area where strawberry farms were flooded.
Damage to agricultural facilities and farmland is important. The government is planning to publish a package of measures so that affected farmers can resume their activities.
