Hazelnuts exports affected by frost

Export forecasts of hazelnut increased from 250,000 tons to 200,000 tons, due to adverse weather conditions throughout March with snow and frost in the east region of the Black Sea, the main area of hazelnuts production . This is the lowest figure of the past five years.

However, the Chairman of the Council of hazelnuts declared  that if a drop of about 25 percent is expected in quantity, it should be offset by price increases.
