Peru exports more than 100,000 tons of yellow sweet onions.
In Peru exports onions are very satisfactory.
The KeyPerú Institute estimated that exports of yellow onions will reach U.S. $ 30 million and more than 110 000 tons for the 2013-14 season.
This campaign began in early August and will close in mid-January. Peruvian sweet onions record a great demand in the United States, which account for 70% of total exports. The other destinations are the markets of Europe and Latin America .
