The Selenella quality is associated with the respect of the environment

The Consortium of  Italian quality potato has launched "Life Cycle Assessment" (the evaluation of life cycle), the process of evaluation of the life cycle of products supply chain.

This launch demonstrates the commitment to reduce CO2 emissions, not to harm the land and the environment, elements that are part of the mission of the Consortium.

The study will proceed, for each member of the Consortium (producer organizations, cooperatives, private operators) and for 1400 hectares of area, a detailed analysis of all processes (planting, irrigation, harvesting, storage, packaging) to determine how the production affects the environment in terms of used water, used energy  and emissions of greenhouse gas.
