However, the export figures from January to April for the second half of the season were pretty down with 1% less in quantity and 15% less in value.
However, the exports of April are significantly higher than the previous year, with 30 000 tons exported against some 23,000 tons in April 2013.
This increase was primarily due to an increase in Russian demand by 65 per cent compared to April 2013 and of Iraq, + 46 percent. Both countries are also the largest markets for Turkish lemon.
