Figures released in April confirm stable export performance at the start of Peru’s 2026 agricultural season.

Recently released figures from Peru’s Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI) show that agricultural exports generated more than US$2.22 billion during the first two months of 2026, confirming a stable opening to the export year and continued momentum in fresh produce shipments.

According to the ministry, February exports alone totalled US$878 million, representing a 2.8% increase compared with the same month in 2025. The increase indicates that export activity remained resilient as the season moved beyond peak harvest volumes for several fruit categories.

Shipments of avocados, fresh fruit, mangoes and grapes were among the main contributors to export growth during the period. These products continue to anchor Peru’s export performance early in the year, when supply programmes are actively maintained to meet demand across key international markets.

With the first quarter already completed and planning underway for the remainder of 2026, the January-February figures provide a practical reference point for exporters, logistics operators and buyers assessing shipment volumes and supply availability for the months ahead.
