BIENNAL ASPARAGUS CONFERENCE, a must-see for all asparagus professionals, organized by Asparagus Growers Association Ltd. will be held on Tuesday 18th of July 2017.

 
 
 
Dr. Drost of Utah State University (USA) will discuss the topic of asparagus roots and how to improve productivity; Dr. Robert Simmons of Cranfield University who will speak on soil management to increase crop longevity and yield optimization; Claire Donkin and Viv Powell (AHDB Horticulture) who will give an updated summary of post-harvest actions and crop protection products available for asparagus; Emma Fencott (Kantar Worldpanel) who will describe the market trends in the UK.
 
 
 
In addition, a series of workshops are scheduled in the afternoon and a trade show of businesses throughout the day. Visitors arriving the day before will have the opportunity to visit Thanet Earth, the largest British greenhouse.
