In Poland the fruit production will be affected by this spring frost.

After abundant production last year, Polish professionals are worried about volumes this year, indeed a wave of frost has caused various losses.

In some parts of the country, cherry production for the industry has been severely affected, with losses sometimes reaching 100%. Losses are estimated at 50% for pear production, for apple production losses appear to be severe in some areas but total estimates are not yet established.

According to forecasts of the Polish Institute of Meteorology, a second wave of low temperatures will occur
mid-May.
