Tesco has opened its first zero carbon store in Asia, situated in Thailand.
Tesco Lotus has opened a zero carbon store in Thailand, the first of its kind in Asia.
The store is situated in Pra Bang and underlines Tesco's commitment to become a carbon neutral company by 2050.
To reduce its environmental impact, this shop uses the latest environmental technology. It has a wind turbine,
earth-based walls, maximum natural lighting and rainwater tanks for washing cars and toilets in the store.
Tesco has recently been recognized as the best global retailer for its efforts in the fight against climate change, cited in the report of the Global 500 Carbon Disclosure Project.
