Peru exports nearly 79 million kilos of onions in H1 2025

During the period from January to June 2025, Peru shipped out 78.9 million kilos of fresh onions, according to Agrodata. In total, these exports generated USD 29.6 million in revenue.
The United States was the top destination, importing USD 9.26 million worth of onions — 31% of Peru’s total exports. Spain and Colombia followed with USD 7.94 million and USD 7.75 million, respectively. Costa Rica received USD 1.51 million, while the Dominican Republic imported USD 1.04 million. Smaller volumes were shipped to other countries.
