Peruvian cherimoya gains value and volume on the global market

Between January and February 2025, Peruvian cherimoya exports grew by 19% compared to the same period of the previous year, confirming a sustained positive trend.
Peruvian cherimoya continues to gain ground in international markets. In 2024, its exports reached a value of $ 401,500, which represents a growth of 29.6% compared to the $ 309,700 recorded in 2023, reports a Peruvian media.
This progress is not only reflected not only in the total value, but also in the price per kilo, which rose from $ 2.65 to $ 2.94, and in the volume exported, which went from 116,751 to 136,713 kilos, an increase of 17.1%. The highest peak was recorded in May, with shipments valued at $ 87,700, 66.7% more than in the same month of the previous year.
Exports are mainly concentrated in the second quarter of the year, with less activity towards the end of the year. For 2025, the first data are also encouraging: between January and February there was a 19% growth compared to the same period of the previous year, which confirms a sustained positive trend.
