COMPAGNIE FRUITIERE and WWF FRANCE partners for sustainable agriculture and more responsible consumption of bananas

A 3-year partnership begins between COMPAGNIE FRUITIERE, a leader in the production and distribution of fruit in Europe and Africa, and WWF, one of the first independent environmental protection organizations in the world.
The partnership between COMPAGNIE FRUITIERE and WWF FRANCE aimed at intensifying the sustainable development policy of the COMPAGNIE FRUITIERE and raising awareness among stakeholders of the stakes associated with food waste at the end of the chain was officially launched on the 24th of May.
This approach is part of the implementation of the standard ISO 26000 guidelines, a reference framework for the sustainable development policy of COMPAGNIE FRUITIERE. In addition, a strong focus of this cooperation is the development and promotion of organic farming. The COMPAGNIE FRUITIERE will thus become the leader of the Bio in its sector in the coming years.
By engaging in a 3-year partnership with COMPAGNIE FRUITIERE, WWF FRANCE will support the latter in the implementation of concrete actions that meet three major objectives of its sustainable development policy formalized as of 2000: continuous improvement of farming practices, experimentation with innovative and more sustainable production methods, promotion of more responsible consumption of bananas.
