Russian delegation visits Turkey

The Russian Agricultural Control Agency (Rosselhoznadzor) visited various agricultural regions in Turkey to discuss with producers and exporters the problems encountered between the two countries.
In İzmir, the greenhouses producing zucchini, peppers and salads as well as the packing factories were visited. The whole production chain was examined, from the plant to the harvesting of the product, through packaging and transport.
The visits to Antalya and Mersin were also fruitful and the Russian control agency, which was hosted at its request, had the opportunity to see the phytosanitary activities and quarantine measures on site.
A favorable report on these products should not be delayed and would be a decisive step for the authorization to import these products into Russia, where they are still currently prohibited.
