The Space Technologies in Agriculture Service

This is TÜBITAK, the Institute of Technological and Scientific Research Turk, who signed a project with the Directorate of Development of the South East region of Turkey to allow the use of data obtained from satellites to more targeted agriculture and sustainable development.
A budget of 4.8 million Turkish lira was granted for a period of 3 years for this region to continue agricultural development that has began with the creation of a huge dam for the recovery of agricultural land. The views from satellites will be among others , the analysis of soil and crops obtained by product. The analysis of these data is expected to provide the crops to better understand the need for water and fertilizer and better address climate problems and pests.
