70% of exports of organic bananas take the direction of Europe

Europe is the main destination for Peruvian organic bananas.

According to data provided by Fresh Cargo Peru, for the 2012 season, the organic banana exports totaled approximately 6,990,000 boxes. Which represents an average of 150,000 boxes per week according to the report "Organic Banana Statistic Analysis 2012".

Europe is the main destination with nearly 70% of all shipments, followed by North America and Far East. This is the port of Rotterdam, which received the largest volume of Peruvian exports.
