The Thai market opens for Spanish exporters of grapes and pears. This was communicated by the Government of Thailand to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Spain at the end of last October.
The market is projected to be open for Spanish shipments in the coming season, according to MAPA.
According to the agreed protocol, in order to export to Thailand, Spanish operators must meet multiple demands and phytosanitary requirements, in addition to carrying out demonstrations of the fields and warehouses to Thai inspectors.
Until today, the inspectors from the Asian country visited the fields and facilities of one pear company in Aragon and two in Lleida; and of two grape companies in Murcia and one in Alicante.
