Proven technique with a new twist in Sormac smaller-segment vegetable processing machines

SORMAC B.V., the Dutch developer and manufacturer of machinery and processing lines for the fresh-cut industry, has improved its smaller-segment vegetable processing machines. Having a strong record in peeling machines for potatoes, carrots and onions and Sormac is progressive supplier for washing and drying systems for lettuce and leafy vegetables.

The belt slicers BSM, vegetable washers SW, basket centrifuges MC and peeling machines CBS/MBS have been developed further in terms of technology, ergonomics and hygiene; they are more robust and manufactured exclusively from high-quality materials. The machines may be used as a stand-alone machine, but may also be combined to form a complete processing line.

The MC-44 and MC-44/Vario (equipped with a touch screen) are basket centrifuges for drying various types of fruit and vegetables. The machines have been built with the patented basket locking system ‘Basket Lock ®’. This system developed by Sormac prevents the baskets from coming loose from the basket holder; a common problem in basket centrifuges.
