The port of Tangiers Med reports excellent results only four years after opening
A few years after its opening, the port of Tangiers Med has recorded phenomenal results for the first half of 2011.
Tanger Med is an integrated logistics, industrial and commercial platform. At the end of June 211, the port handled a total traffic of 16.3 million tonnes, up 82% over the same period in 2010. Container traffic reached
1,246,321 TEUs (Twenty Feet Equivalent), an increase of 43%.
The port has 48 regular shipping services between Tanger Med and 120 international ports, including 37 in Europe, 31 in Asia, 30 in Africa, 16 in South America and six in North America.
