NEPG confirms its extimates

NEPG (North - Western European Potato Growers ) , confirms its estimates made in September (our info from 09.10.2015 ) .

NEPG believes , based on the latest samples and latest information on the sector, the total output of potatoes consumption is at about 24.8 million tonnes.

More than 300 000 tonnes compared to what had been estimated in September. The estimated production is 13% lower than last year and 1.6% below the 5 year average .

On October 2 there was still about 40% of uprooting to achieve. The latest data about the final production date will be available within 5-6 weeks.
