Mexico: Looking forward to diversify exports
The United States remains currently the most important export destination for Mexican blueberries with a quota of 95.4% of all shipments.
Currently, the fruit is shipped to China, Singapore, the Netherlands, Canada, Belgium, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Thanks to the proximity with the United States, the production of the country has been able to grow rapidly, in 2017, 36,700 tons of blueberries were harvested, 410% more than in 2012, when the total volume totaled 7,191 tons.
Jalisco is the main producing area, with a harvest of 14,563 tons, followed by Michoacán (8,861 tons), Sinaloa (6,149 tons), Baja California (3,380 tons) and Colima (2,630 tons).
