The offer is so abundant that retailers compete with special offers and promotions to attract consumers. Sainsbury's has reduced prices by 25% for its 400 gr. Trays (£ 2 to £ 1.50), Asda offers supersize trays of 700 gr (£ 2.50) in addition to its usual trays of 300 gr.

 

 

Fresh strawberries are now available over an increasingly broader period. Southwest England begins with early strawberries, and then, as the season progresses, other areas are in production until those of Angus in Scotland.

 

 

 

Strawberries are the most popular berries. In the last 12 months, more than 126,000 tons of strawberries have been sold in Britain. The berry market represents a turnover of approximately £ 564 million.
