Dried figs from Turkey: 2013-2014 Season

The weather conditions of recent weeks and especially rains of August 17th negatively affected the crop. However, production should be greater by 8.7 per cent than in 2012. Dried fig is a traditional Turkish export product, clean in the Aegean region. Last season the export prices obtained were about $ 3400 per tonne.

In order to avoid problems of aflatoxin of last year, number of measures have been taken to optimize the conditions for dried fruits.
