DHL launches Durian Express to export durians to Hong Kong and Singapore

In Malaysia, DHL Express has launched a new service for professionals in the durian sector to facilitate their exports. Called Durian Express, this new service ensures delivery in less than 24 hours.

 

 

 

DHL Express Malaysia launched Durian Express, a new service to facilitate Malaysian durian exports to Hong Kong and Singapore. With this service, delivery is guaranteed the next day in less than 24 hours. Shipments can be made to the warehouses of Malaysian companies in destination countries, to business entities like grocery stores or supermarkets, or even to residential and office addresses.

 

 

 

Hong Kong and Singapore are major trading partners for Malaysian durians. This new service will enable Malaysian professionals to better respond to growing foreign demand. While a kilogram of durian sells in the domestic market in Malaysia for between 50 and 70 RMB (12-17 USD), the same amount sells for up to 200 RMB (48 USD) in Hong Kong.

 

 

 

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, national production exceeded 341,000 tonnes in 2018 but only 6.8% of this volume was exported.
