3 countries are concentrating 68% of Andalusian strawberries' exports

Huelva produces about 95% of total harvest of strawberries in Spain, the Association of strawberry growers in the region, Freshuelva announces that 3 countries (Germany, France, United Kingdom) monopolize 68% of exports.

Germany is the largest recipient with 34% of exports, followed by France with 23% and the UK with 10.5%. The rest is distributed in other European countries and some Asian markets. One of the new objectives will be to open new markets in the countries of Eastern Europe.

During the last campaign, exports totaled 223,813 tons of fresh strawberries and 15 482 tons of frozen strawberries with a turnover of 400.1 million  euros.
