Peru mango chunk exports grow in value and volume at start of 2026

Peru exported 16,607,831 kg of mango in chunks worth USD 32,877,195 in January-February 2026, marking growth compared with the same period of 2025, reports Agrodata.
Shipment volumes increased 12% year on year, while export value rose 21%, reflecting both higher demand and firmer prices. The average export price reached USD 1.98 per kg, up 8% from USD 1.84 per kg recorded in the same period of 2025.
In detail, exports in January 2026 totalled 5,884,727 kg valued at USD 11,240,579, with an average price of USD 1.91 per kg. In February 2026, shipments increased to 10,723,104 kg worth USD 21,636,616, with the average price rising to USD 2.02 per kg.
For comparison, during January-February 2025, Peru exported 88,694,149 kg of mango in chunks valued at USD 163,055,388, with an average price of USD 1.84 per kg, according to the same source.
The United States remained the leading destination for Peruvian mango chunks in 2026, accounting for USD 14,981,641, or 46% of total export value. It was followed by Canada with USD 5,091,838 (15%), Germany with USD 2,495,793 (8%), Belgium with USD 2,446,369 (7%), and Japan with USD 1,205,536 (4%). Other markets included the Netherlands (USD 1,270,694; 4%), Poland (USD 925,209; 3%), Chile (USD 525,713; 2%), Spain (USD 317,030; 1%), the Republic of Korea (USD 287,739; 1%), and various other destinations combined (USD 3,329,633; 10%).
