Dublin will welcome more than 800 delegates for the next WPC (World Potato Congress)

The prestigious RDS, in the heart of Dublin, will host the World Potato Congress 2022 (Photo: wpc2022ireland).
Initially scheduled for 2021 and postponed due to the pandemic, the WPC (World Potato Congress) and Europatat Congress will take place within a few days in Dublin (Ireland).
Organized by the Irish Potato Federation in collaboration with World Potato Congress Inc. the event will take place from May 30 to June 2, 2022 in the prestigious RDS (Royal Dublin Society) in Dublin. And for the first time, Europatat Congress will be held at the same time. The event will bring together more than 800 delegates.
About 60 speakers will intervene around 3 main elements: the production of fresh table potatoes, the transformation of potatoes and the seed sector, as well as around several themes:
"These are the potato trade, health and nutrition associated with potato consumption, ongoing innovation in the international potato sector, sustainability of the potato production and the role of the potato in improving food security in developing countries Nothing can replace the exchange of information and ideas that can take place at an event such as than the WPC," said Liam Glennon, chairman of the event's organizing committee and former president of the Irish Potato Federation.
The Congress takes place at the RDS for 3 days: Monday May 30, Tuesday May 31 and Wednesday June 1. The following day, Thursday 2 June, delegates will be able to choose from a selection of technical tours, which reflect the breadth and scope of the potato sector in Ireland.
